If you have ever been to a Photo Rangers event, you know we believe that great photos have nothing to do with the camera or price of equipment. As a matter of fact, how many times do you hear someone compliment a chef by saying “that dish was amazing, you must have some really good pots and pans”? That’s what I thought! Same is true with photography, come with us and we’ll show you how to get the WOW! In your photos taken on your smartphone.
The workshop will include walking along some of the most beautiful and untouched coastline and rock formations in Victoria - Bore Beach and Cadillac Canyon. We will then spend the second hour going through the editing process on your phone.
You will learn:
Quick camera phone specific tips and techniques
Identify how to create visual impact in your photos; Use the best iPhone and Android photo capture and editing apps and easily apply creative edits on your mobile phone.
Participants will receive a pre-workshop instruction sheet on recommended APPS to have installed prior to the day.
Meeting Point and Workshop Location
We will meet at the very end of Potters Hill Rd, San Remo.
What to Bring
Wear some comfortable shoes and bring your smartphone with a full charge. Be sure you have downloaded the recommended APPS on your phone prior to the workshop.
The Phillip Island coast can be a rugged and unforgiving place. Coastal areas are prone to rogue waves and cliff tops are unstable. The island has a very sensitive ecosystem and we will require all participants to remain on the clearly marked paths at all times for their own safety and the safety of our local flora and fauna. Photo Rangers is not responsible for any loss or injury that may occur on the workshop.
How To Reserve Your Place
To reserve your place in the workshop we require registration and prepayment. Contact us and we’ll give the payment details.
Cancellations and Refunds
You may cancel and get a full refund if you notify us 24 hours or more before the workshop. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice you can apply the workshop fee to a future Photo Rangers workshop.
Our Adventure Based Workshops will generally go ahead in light rain. Typically the rain on the island will not last long and afterwards we get some of the best conditions for photography. Make sure you bring a raincoat and plastic bag (to shield your camera) just in case of rain.
If the weather is severe or lightning is present, we will cancel the workshop. We will attempt to make a call on workshop cancellation 2 hours before the workshop if possible.
Cancellation of workshop
If a workshop is cancelled we will offer you a full refund or the option of applying the fee to a future Photo Rangers workshop.
