Time To Reflect - White Ribbon / by dale rogers

[ad_1]Time To Reflect - White Ribbon Been a tough week on the island. The White Ribbon Campaign sign erected by Westernport Water in honour of a loved member of the community recently murdered by her ex husband was vandalised for the 4th time with the vandals blacking out words mentioning women and children. One in three women will experience DV in their lifetime and the rates of it are higher on the island than other parts of the state. I don’t understand why these vandals don’t think that is an important statistic. Are they afraid of losing the misogynistic majority? As my daughter Juni said, people don’t get upset about a pink ribbon for breast cancer because it doesn’t represent colon cancer. Seriously people, time to get some education and call DV for what it is.

The White Ribbon Campaign is a global movement of men and boys working to end male violence against women and girls.

Here’s my white ribbon in the sky taken last night. Westernport Water
