Mega Weekend Went Mega Hard!

[ad_1]Mega Weekend Went Mega Hard! We've just completed our Mega Photography Weekend we held with Benjamin Eriksson Photography. It was Mega on several scales.

We started the weekend in pounding rain all huddled under a rain proof canopy provided by our friends at The Sheltered Glamping Co.. Although the rain was relentless at that moment we were confident it would clear and we would get awesome skies for our trip up to the Pinnacles.

Sure enough, rain cleared and the sky gods smiled. Then it rained some more. Then the sky gods grinned. Then in rained some more ... and the pattern repeated until it stopped raining and the wind almost blew us off a cliff top.

We returned to our glamping site and set up for an night of astro photography and light painting. Then it starting raining again. It soon stopped and the stars payed us a beautiful visit with the tail of the Milky Way giving a playful wave from over the tops of the Tea Tree thicket.

We astroed (is that a word?) until about 1:30-2am but were up at the ungodly hour of 4:30am to get the sunrise in Cadillac Canyon. The Canyon was pumping and waves were literally flying and we managed to get some great shots with a spectacular sunrise.

We finished the weekend off with a Lightroom Classic editing session. I am sure that everyone went home and had a nice long nap to recover from the weekend afterwards.

We'd like to thank all our participants who had faith in our confidence that the weather would break and we would get something special. We specialise in adventure based photography and our best photos are the ones when we venture out when very few others would. We brave the elements and are often rewarded with amazing shots.

We'd like to thank The Sheltered Glamping Co. for providing such an amazing glamping site and being beautiful, gracious hosts to us over the weekend.

And finally we'd like to thank Ben of Benjamin Eriksson Photography for co-facilitating this workshop with us. We enjoyed working with Ben and had a great time.

Benjamin Eriksson Photography and Photo Ranges will be holding another Weekend on the island staying with The Sheltered Glamping Co in the near future. Keep an eye out for that date as this workshop filled to capacity within a week of opening registrations.
