Adventure Based BASIC and LIGHTROOM

[ad_1]Adventure Based BASIC and LIGHTROOM This weekend we have two workshops. Saturday is the Adventure based BASIC Camera workshop up to the Pinnacles and return and Sunday is the popular Lightroom Classic Editing workshop.

I often hear people say that don't edit because they want them to be just like they saw the scene. Unfortunately, modern cameras, regardless of how expensive or fancy, can not take a picture of what the eye sees. The human eye can see an incredible range of light - from brightest brights to the darkest darks. A camera can not and is limited. No matter the camera, when you shoot in conditions of bright and dark light (sunset is a perfect example) you will ALWAYS get photos like the top pictures in the two examples I posted here.

I expose my photos for the brightest light which means they come out of my camera looking very dark. I shoot in a RAW file format (come to the BASIC course and you'll learn all about this) and with a little work in LIghtroom Classic, I remove the shadows and all of a sudden ... there's the scene I saw. The bottom image is the result of my edit and is closer to what I really saw. As you can see the camera is pretty terrible at capturing a true image in situations with extreme difference in light.

Come along on Saturday and we'll show you how to get the best photo possible with your camera and Come along on Sunday and we'll show you how to achieve the bottom images with those photos :-).

If you are interested in either or both workshops this weekend, please contact me asap to reserve your place.
