FACILITATORS
Dale and Cecilia Rogers are professional photographers and Phillip Island locals. They intimately know the island, it’s rhythms and seasonal variations. They know the best places to and times to shoot the perfect image. Dale and Cecilia facilitate photography workshops on and around the island every weekend, shoot real estate, events and regular conference presenters. Dale and Cecilia are supported by Fujifilm Australia, Mefoto Tripods Australia and Shimoda Designs Australia.

Benjamin Eriksson is a Melbourne based landscape photographer, who loves the rugged beautiful landscape of Phillip Island and has been visiting the Island since he was 15. Ben runs workshops on the Mornington Peninsula, Melbourne CBD and boat photography cruises on the Yarra River. Ben is supported by MeFOTO Australia, Athabasca Filters and Samyang Optics Australia.

SUPPORTERS
MeFOTO Tripods Australia and Samyang Optics Australia have supported our first 5 workshops and will be joining us for #6 too. We will have a few MeFOTO tripods available for participants that do not own a tripod. Let us know if you need to use one on booking (we have 4 or 5 available).

We will also have some Samyang Optics Australia lenses (Samyang is known for their awesome landscape/nightscape lenses worldwide) for a variety of camera brands, available for use over the workshop weekend.

Athabasca Filters are onboard this workshop again and we will have a few ND filter kits for participants to try on the Sunset and sunrise workshops.

How To Reserve Your Place
Prepayment
To reserve your place in the workshop we require prepayment. Payment can be through our booking link.

Love to come but would like to pay over a few payments? We can offer a simple payment plan option, please contact Dale or Ben for information as we would love to have you along.

Prerequisites
This workshop is suitable for all skill levels. General fitness is required - sand, rocks, wet surfaces.

What to Bring
Participants need to bring their camera and all lenses, fully charged battery (plus a spare battery), empty memory card, good shoes, jumper, jacket / waterproof jacket, flashlight, a small bottle of water, any ND filters (optional), tripod, laptop with copy of Lightroom Classic installed.

Note: Shared glamping accommodation please bring a sleeping bag, pillow and towel.

Safety
The Phillip Island coast can be a rugged and unforgiving place. Coastal areas are prone to rogue waves and cliff tops are unstable. The island has a very sensitive ecosystem and we will require all participants to remain on the clearly marked paths at all times for their own safety and the safety of our local flora and fauna. Photo Rangers and Benjamin Eriksson Photography are not responsible for any loss or injury that may occur on the workshop.

Cancellations and Refunds
You may cancel and get a full refund if you notify us 14 days or more before the workshop.

Weather
Our Adventure Based Workshops will generally go ahead in light/medium rain. Typically the rain on the island will not last long and afterwards we get some of the best conditions for photography. Make sure you bring a raincoat and plastic bag (to shield your camera) just in case of rain. In case of heavy rain and storms, alternative workshop venues will be provided.

The Night Photography workshop is based on the conditions on the evening, if it is cloudy then we will do lots of Light Painting while keeping a keen eye open for stars.

Acknowledgement of Country
Photo Rangers and Benjamin Eriksson Photography pay our respects to the traditional people of Phillip Island, the Boonwurrong People and pay our respects to their ancestors, elders and any who attend our workshops.
